July 6-10 Menu Round-Up

If you have been following me on Instagram for quite some time, then you would know that I have more than a little bit of a passion for cooking! Growing up, my mother would regularly cook in the kitchen, which was definitely a highlight of my childhood. As I went away to college and last year got my first apartment, I knew that I wanted to continue my mom’s legacy for cooking in my own kitchen. Being a college student can sometimes make cooking tricky, but I have somehow managed to make it work through menu planning and grocery shopping at the beginning of every week. With cooking being one of my biggest passions, I have decided to share the recipes that I make each week, in order to provide y’all with some inspiration for cooking in your own kitchen!

This week, I am at my beach house with my dad and step-mom, so I will be making some recipes here and there. Two of my dad’s sisters and two of my cousins will be coming to visit us the following weekend. That being said, I will either be helping my family out around the kitchen or whipping up my own dishes for them! While most weeks I will be sharing what recipes I will be making day to day, this week is a little different as I am away from my apartment.

Sheet Pan Brussels sprouts, Eggs, & Bacon for Breakfast

Fun fact: my favorite vegetable is Brussels sprouts and they’re one of my dad’s favorites too! So, I will be making it for my dad as an easy, yet delicious looking breakfast treat.

Some Family Dessert Fun

Since my aunts and cousins will be in town for a few days, I wanted to make them a dessert that had a family fun feel *cue the sprinkles*. When I found a recipe for chocolate cookie sandwiches drenched in sprinkles, I knew I had to treat my family to some!

Shrimp Risotto for Dinner

My good friend Chris had this shrimp risotto recipe last week, and was raving to me about how much he loved it. Knowing my love for cooking, he sent me the recipe, and that is when I knew I had to try it for myself!

I know this post will definitely be a shorter one compared to the one’s that I plan to share as I get back to school and am in my apartment again, but I wanted to share some of the recipes that I plan to cook even while at home. Cooking has definitely been one of my favorite things to do, and I hope that I can provide you with a little inspiration along the way!

XOXO – Katie <3
