Whoever said “be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons” clearly knew my life motto. Ever since I was a little girl, I loved the color pink, big puffy dresses, and the highest and sparkliest heels I could find. At the age of five, I was destined to leave a lasting mark in this world with a touch of glitter and a whole lot of pink. Fast-forward fifteen years, and I have recently graduated from Meredith College, all-women’s institution in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and minors in Statistics, Website Development, and Data Science with Honors who still loves all-things pretty and pink. As a proud Washington, DC area-based woman in STEM who shops, hosts, and travels every chance she can get, I understand the importance of wanting to do it ALL while on a budget. So, I do just that and share ALL my secrets with y’all plus a sprinkle of confetti. As I work within the workforce as a woman in STEM, I feel empowered to be the Elle Woods of my own life while I continue to achieve my dreams the Katie way – with a touch of pink and a whole lot of confetti!

Frequently Asked Questions

Where did The Pink Chickadee come from?

Until I was eight years old, I lived in Pennington, New Jersey where I would always see and hear Black Capped Chickadee’s outside of my window. The sound and beauty of the Black Capped Chickadee only enhanced my obsession for the bird, and, as previously mentioned, I have always had an obsession with the color pink. As someone who is consistently the brightest of the bunch, I found The Pink Chickadee to be perfectly fitting!
