Since brunch and dinner is a super popular dining time in Glasgow, especially on the weekends, it is highly suggested to make a reservation at popular restaurants. Each restaurant mentioned in this guide typically offers reservations in advance with information on their websites. Reservations, especially for larger parties may have fees and should be made in advance with at least 1 week’s notice on the weekends. Typically for most brunch spots, it is worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week in advance, specifically in the warmer months.

To be sure you have the most up-to-date information, it is suggested that you check out each restaurant’s website before you go to make your reservation and check for grace periods and any reservation fees (in the case that you’re running late). Above all else, be sure to add in buffer time when traveling to Glasgow Central to be sure you make it on time (better early than late in my opinion!!).

Babs (49 West Nile Street)

Babs serves modern-day gourmet kebabs and Mediterranean cuisine, bringing a slice of the sea right to the heart of Glasgow. 

Barolo (92-94 Mitchell Street)

From pasta to pizza and focaccia baked in a traditional oven, Barolo specializes in Italian cuisine all served in an upscale setting just a street away from the bustling centre of Glasgow.

Blank Street (42 Gordon Street) 

Founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2020 as a coffee cart in the Williamsburg neighborhood, the well-known and fast-growing coffee chain, Blank Street, has made its way across the pond to Glasgow Central!

Chaakoo Bombay Cafe (79 St Vincent Street)

Known for its excellent cocktails, curries, and other Indian and Persian specialties, Chaakoo Bombay Cafe serves your favorite Indian and Persian cuisine in a cozy and historical atmosphere.

Cuvee Princes Square (Princes Square, 48 Buchanan Street – located in Princes Square)

Gaucho Glasgow is an Argentinian Steakhouse that prides on bringing the tradition of the asado to the United Kingdom’s Friendliest City.

Imperial Bar (6 Howard Street)

A lively local spot where folks flock to grab a beer, wine, or simply catch up and enjoy some live music or karaoke, Imperial Bar is truly the perfect spot. It is worth noting that Imperial Bar does not serve food besides a limited quantity of snack food.

La Vita Spuntini (40 Gordon Street)

La Vita Spuntini serves a mix of classic Italian dishes alongside some new and exciting dishes – all of which are perfectly suited for celebratory occasions, holidays, or a catch up with loved ones.

MacSorley’s (42 Jamaica Street)

Proudly known for its good food, good music, and good vibes, MacSorley’s is an award-winning pub in an 1800’s setting with live music almost every night alongside traditional Scottish pub fare.

McDonalds Bakers & Coffee House (71 Union Street)

An affordable bakery and coffee house in the heart of Glasgow Central, Mcdonalds Bakers & Coffee House serves up delicious coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches at an affordable price point.

Outlier (38 London Road)

Outlier is a cozy brunch spot with an artisan bakery, all of which are creatively and exceptionally made. 

Panang (71-73 St Vincent Street)

Serving classic Thai, Korean, and Malaysian dishes packed with delicious flavors, Panang is a Pan-Asian restaurant that is known for their small plates which will leave you craving for more.

Revolution Bar (84 Mitchell Street)

One of the city’s top party destinations for both small gatherings or huge celebrations, Revolution Bar is the perfect spot to grab a cocktail or enjoy a fun night out.

Rioja Finnieston (115 Hope Street)

Since its opening in 2013, Rioja Finnieston has become a Spanish tapas culinary staple before initially closing in 2023. Now, this beloved Spanish tapas staple has returned to become one of the many well-loved restaurants in Glasgow Central.

Rosa’s Thai (41-43 West Nile Street)

Sebb’s (68B Miller Street)

Sloans (108 Argyle Street)

Dating back to 1797, Sloans is Glasgow Central’s best Beer Garden that celebrates bringing people together for over 225 years within its three-floor venue. 

Sugo Pasta (70 Mitchell Street)

With a menu rooted in traditional Italian pastas from various regions across Italy, Sugo Pasta does it differently: each pasta dish is served as it would within its home region in Italy and truly brings authentic Italian pasta right to your table in Glasgow.

Temaki (113 Hope Street)
