Personally, I had been a fan of the Tommy Bahama brand for years, but learned upon traveling to Waikiki, Hawaii that the popular resort wear brand also has restaurants. And, when in Waikiki, I had the opportunity to dine at Tommy Bahama Restaurant’s location there. This restaurant guide will outline my experience there and whether or not I’d dine there again as you plan your Hawaiian dining experience!

About & Location
Located above the Tommy Bahama Waikiki storefront and an Open Table Diners’ Choice awardee in 2025, Tommy Bahama Restaurant Waikiki is a 3-story oasis where diners will discover a farm-to-table restaurant, a breathtaking living wall of tropical plant life and herbs, and an open-air rooftop complete with live music (see hours below), a fire pit, sand, and *of course* a stunning view of Honolulu. Truly Tommy Bahama’s Restaurant brings the resort flair that this popular brand offers with its locally-sourced cuisine to Waikiki.
Takeout: In addition to an incredible onsite dining experience with shopping at Tommy Bahama below, Tommy Bahama Restaurant Waikiki also offers takeout, which guests can order online for scheduled pickup.
Address: 298 Beach Walk Suite 137, Honolulu, Hawaii
Hours: 12pm-9pm daily with Happy Hour 3pm-5pm daily and Live Music 5pm-8pm daily
It is worth noting that Tommy Bahama Restaurant’s location is within the heart of Waikiki adjacent to popular shops such as the well-known ABC Stores that are all over Hawaii and is a couple of blocks from the Royal Hawaiian Center and hotel. Ubering is available and highly accessible, but be sure to plan accordingly.

Menu Highlights

Tommy Bahama Restaurant serves the freshest local ingredients and offers a robust lunch menu and dinner menu both of which have drinks (including zero-proof options!), including shareables, entrees, and desserts and LOTS of seafood. Although not mentioned on the website, Happy Hour is from 3pm-5pm daily (including on weekends!). It is encouraged to check out the menus on their website for the most up-to-date information.
Know Before You Go
- Due to its popularity amongst visitors, it is highly advised to make a reservation in advance (more on reservations in the next section).
- It is worth noting though that Tommy Bahama Waikiki is a higher end restaurant, so definitely be sure to dress the part and budget accordingly (about $35+ for a dinner entree).
- If you have any dietary restrictions, be sure to communicate them to the staff, as they are ultra kind and will do their best to accommodate you.
- The entrance is a bit confusing – don’t worry! The entrance to Tommy Bahama Restaurant Waikiki is accessible through the Tommy Bahama store. Upon entering in, you will take the elevator or stairs up to the top floor where the restaurant is located.
- Be ready for pictures and come dressed for them! Trust me, you will not want to leave without snapping *just a few* photos!!

Reservations
Reservations are highly recommended when you dine at Tommy Bahama Waikiki as suggested on their website and from personal experience. Trust me, this popular restaurant in Waikiki does get popular, especially in the Winter and Summer months (aka the city’s peak tourist seasons) and you will want to ensure you’re able to dine at this iconic restaurant. I would suggest making a reservation 1-3 weeks in advance or on a less popular night (we opted for a Sunday evening and had no problem booking a table a few hours beforehand). Reservations can be made on Tommy Bahama Restaurant’s website via OpenTable.

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Tommy Bahama Waikiki, as the atmosphere was incredible with its views of Honolulu’s skyline, live music, and ultra-fun decor and vibes. Truly, you could tell the people who work there LOVE working there which is definitely rare but so lovely to see!! At the same time, the food, drinks, and company via my friends Bryn and Maxwell were all so lovely.
