While amazingly soft, durable, and cozy ChappyWrap blankets do come at quite a hefty price tag. I’ve personally owned a ChappyWrap since 2023 and hope to shed some light as to whether or not I think the popular blanket is worth the hype.

It all started with a beloved blanket gifted to its founder Beth in 1965 that her family fought over for generations. It also became a running family joke that Beth should start a business. My Experience

I cannot not share about my own experience with a ChappyWrap in this ChappyWrap review! I’ve had my *very own* ChappyWrap since 2023 as a Christmas gift to me (from me!). Both me and my dog LOVE my ChappyWrap blanket for snuggling on my Queen-sized bed, especially during the cooler months. 

One of the key aspects of my ChappyWrap that I LOVE is that it is reversible (as all of them are!) and showcases a unique color combination of the same print on each side – something that I LOVE showcasing to make my bed more fun when I change the sheets. At the same time, my ChappyWrap doesn’t get too messy even though it can occasionally be covered in dog hair!

Every Fall season, I look forward to putting my ChappyWrap on my bed to kick off the cozy season and cooler days ahead! As a mega Fall and Winter enthusiast, ChappyWrap makes the season SO MUCH MORE cozy for both me and my dog Rosie (whose ALSO a huge fan!!).

Is Leonardo Royal Hotel Worth Staying At?!

YES! Leonardo Royal Hotel is definitely worth staying at!

I called Leonardo Royal Hotel my home for a week, during my first time to Glasgow, and it was an excellent spot to stay at. My bedroom was ultra-spacious and comfortable – the perfect place to wind down – as well as at the onsite Leo’s Restaurant and Bar after a long day of sightseeing. I also loved that I could connect my hotel room’s television to my personal Hulu account to watch my favorite shows and movies throughout my stay!

At the same time, I LOVED how Leonardo Royal Hotel was within walking distance to many of Glasgow’s major sights, restaurants, train stations, and shops. It was also extremely easy to get Ubers at an affordable price point to/from the hotel, too! 

At the end of the day, I always had a good night’s sleep within my hotel room, which boasted the most epic train view from Glasgow Central Station of River Clyde as well as the broader city skyline! Truly, I LOVED my hotel room view!!

Wrap-Up

Moving forward, I hope to stay at more Leonardo Hotels via the Leonardo Advantage Club thanks to my wonderful stay at Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow. Indeed, this botanical-themed Glasgow hotel is worth a visit!

That way, you’re able to see which tour operators have availability on the days that work for you given your group’s interests and preferences.

If you’re not interested in group tours or traveling in the off-season when group tours may be limited (like it was for me!) or looking for a more cost-effective option, then I highly recommend taking the train or using rideshares such as Uber.

Please note that these day trips are group tours and typically combine multiple towns and points of interest, given that they are easy to see and combine into one day trip. If you want more time in one destination, then it is suggested to take the train or bus there.

Reservations

Since brunch and dinner is a super popular dining time in Glasgow, especially on the weekends, it is highly suggested to make a reservation at popular restaurants. Each restaurant mentioned in this guide typically offers reservations in advance with information on their websites. Reservations, especially for larger parties may have fees and should be made in advance with at least 1 week’s notice on the weekends. Typically for most brunch spots, it is worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week in advance, specifically in the warmer months.

To be sure you have the most up-to-date information, it is suggested that you check out each restaurant’s website before you go to make your reservation and check for grace periods and any reservation fees (in the case that you’re running late). Above all else, be sure to add in buffer time when traveling to Glasgow Central to be sure you make it on time (better early than late in my opinion!!).

All Bar One (56-72 St Vincent Street)

Serving up globally-inspired family-style plates from Bottomless Brunch to specialty cocktails, lunch, dinner, brunch, and more, All Bar One is a stylish bar that’s been serving specialty food and drink for over 30 years.

Babs (49 West Nile Street)

Babs serves modern-day gourmet kebabs and Mediterranean cuisine, bringing a slice of the sea right to the heart of Glasgow. 

Barolo (92-94 Mitchell Street)

From pasta to pizza and focaccia baked in a traditional oven, Barolo specializes in Italian cuisine all served in an upscale setting just a street away from the bustling centre of Glasgow.

Blank Street (42 Gordon Street) 

Founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2020 as a coffee cart in the Williamsburg neighborhood, the well-known and fast-growing coffee chain, Blank Street, has made its way across the pond to Glasgow Central!

Chaakoo Bombay Cafe (79 St Vincent Street)

Known for its excellent cocktails, curries, and other Indian and Persian specialties, Chaakoo Bombay Cafe serves your favorite Indian and Persian cuisine in a cozy and historical atmosphere.

Dishoom Glasgow is an Indian restaurant and mostly walk-in spot that brings Bombay culinary delights to Scotland.

Gaucho (7 West Nile Street)

Gaucho Glasgow is an Argentinian Steakhouse that prides on bringing the tradition of the asado to the United Kingdom’s Friendliest City.

Imperial Bar (6 Howard Street)

A lively local spot where folks flock to grab a beer, wine, or simply catch up and enjoy some live music or karaoke, Imperial Bar is truly the perfect spot. It is worth noting that Imperial Bar does not serve food besides a limited quantity of snack food.

La Vita Spuntini (40 Gordon Street)

La Vita Spuntini serves a mix of classic Italian dishes alongside some new and exciting dishes – all of which are perfectly suited for celebratory occasions, holidays, or a catch up with loved ones.

MacSorley’s (42 Jamaica Street)

Proudly known for its good food, good music, and good vibes, MacSorley’s is an award-winning pub in an 1800’s setting with live music almost every night alongside traditional Scottish pub fare.

McDonalds Bakers & Coffee House (71 Union Street)

An affordable bakery and coffee house in the heart of Glasgow Central, Mcdonalds Bakers & Coffee House serves up delicious coffee, baked goods, and sandwiches at an affordable price point.

Outlier is a cozy brunch spot with an artisan bakery, all of which are creatively and exceptionally made. 

Panang (71-73 St Vincent Street)

Serving classic Thai, Korean, and Malaysian dishes packed with delicious flavors, Panang is a Pan-Asian restaurant that is known for their small plates which will leave you craving for more.

Revolution Bar (84 Mitchell Street)

One of the city’s top party destinations for both small gatherings or huge celebrations, Revolution Bar is the perfect spot to grab a cocktail or enjoy a fun night out.

Rioja Finnieston (115 Hope Street)

Since its opening in 2013, Rioja Finnieston has become a Spanish tapas culinary staple before initially closing in 2023. Now, this beloved Spanish tapas staple has returned to become one of the many well-loved restaurants in Glasgow Central.

Your Guide To The Best Northern Virginia Garden Centers (2026 Edition)
