Is Crown & Ivy A Good Brand?! A Preppy Fashion Blogger’s Review!

***Please note that this Crown & Ivy Review will be updated and recirculated periodically to reflect the most up-to-date information. This review was most recently updated as of March 2026.***

Over the years since starting my blog and over on my Instagram (let’s be friends @_thepinkchickadee), I have raved about a Belk house brand that I have adored over the years: Crown & Ivy. I have shared and styled SOOOO many pieces from Crown & Ivy on my platform that so many of y’all have enjoyed. I also mentioned Crown & Ivy in my list of brands like Lilly Pulitzer (here). Although a brand central to the Southern-based department store Belk, Crown & Ivy has become a well-known brand amongst Preppy fashion enthusiasts from across the United States (and beyond!). Today, I am going to outline my personal experiences with and review the Preppy fashion brand that I’ve come to love over the years.

My Current Favorite Crown & Ivy Pieces

My Experience

This Crown & Ivy review will share a bit About the brand, Pricing, Sizing, My Experience, and some of my current favorite pieces for you to add to the cart as we speak!

About Crown & Ivy:

Crown and Ivy is a Belk-exclusive, private label Belk brand that focuses on apparel specifically for the “modern Southern woman.” It was launched by the well-known department store in 2014 and currently sells women’s, men’s, and children’s apparel. The Belk house brand also does collaborations with other Southern preppy brands, including Sewing Down South in 2025 and Society Social in 2024. The brand also intends for their pieces to be versatile and worn and reworn different ways and for different occasions.

Sizing:

Crown and Ivy offers a diverse range of sizing in women’s apparel, ranging from Petite, Tall, Regular, and Plus sizing. Truly, everyone is welcome and about to enjoy the adorable styles that this Belk-owned brand has to offer.

Price Range:

Currently, Crown & Ivy women’s apparel pieces retail for upwards of $100 and typically are sold with a 30-50%+ markdowns. It is worth mentioning that pieces’ prices do fluctuate over time, as does most of the items sold at Belk both online and in-person. At the end of the season, pieces do tend to decrease to a 50-70%+ markdowns from their original price and is worthwhile waiting for if you’re willing to score a bargain. Although I don’t have much experience shopping as of recently within a Belk storefront due to my post-graduate relocation away from the South, I do recall that Belk stores frequently place the brand’s merchandise on their clearance racks for fellow bargain hunters who love the thrill of the hunt!

My Current Favorite Crown & Ivy Pieces:

Please note that all pieces’ retail prices are listed as of March 1, 2026. Prices do fluctuate on both ends. It’s best to monitor the pricing over time to get the best deal.

My Experience:

Flashback to Winter 2017 and I was about to interview for some scholarships at what would then become my undergraduate alma mater: Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. The night before my interview, I stepped foot in a Belk – a popular Southern-based department store – for the first time ever as someone from the Washington, DC area. Little did I know I would fall in love with the Southern fashions and styles that were sold at Belk. Alongside seeing my favorite brands to this day, Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines, on the racks, I also came to love another new-to-me brand: Crown and Ivy! That Spring for my 18th birthday, I asked for several Crown & Ivy pieces which I then wore into my college years. Besides falling in love with my alma mater’s campus and receiving scholarships and Honors to attend, I also attribute my first stroll through those doors of that Belk store and newfound love of Crown & Ivy to my reasoning behind attending Meredith College and furthermore falling in love with preppy + grand millennial Southern fashions.

Styling Crown & Ivy in 2020!

Flash forward to today (Summer 2025), and Crown & Ivy is well-loved by preppy and grand millennial fashion enthusiasts, influencers, and both across the South and beyond. While I did move back to the Washington, DC area post-undergraduate, I still find myself frequenting Belk’s website and *just maybe* placing an order while doing so. I find myself excited by the brand and their frequent markdowns on styles that I adore and wouldn’t feel comfortable at times splurging on elsewhere. Whether it be their adorable Ginger Jar print for Summer 2025, bright colored dresses that remind any Lilly Pulitzer lover of the resort wear brand, regular plethora of block print dresses and blouses and more for all seasons, or Hill House nap dress dupes (which I write more about here), Crown & Ivy truly exceeds all of my expectations when it comes to preppy fashion and many others’ expectations, too!

Wrap-Up:

As of today, Crown and Ivy is a well-loved brand by many preppy fashion lovers. Its incorporation of styles by higher priced preppy fashion brands that are brought to the masses at a reasonable price point with its own unique Southern flair leaves several people saying especially on Reddit: “Crown & Ivy does it again!” And while I do adore and shop at preppy fashion brands such as Lilly Pulitzer, Tuckernuck, J Crew, and PrintFresh, there is something so refreshing about the price point and variety of similar styles that Crown & Ivy offers at a fraction of the cost. And, of course, has me as a regular on Belk’s website coming back for more!

Printfresh Pajamas Review + How To Find Them On Sale

***Please note that this Printfresh Pajamas Review + How To Find Them On Sale will be updated and recirculated periodically to reflect the most up-to-date information. This review was most recently updated as of March 2026.***

This platform’s slogan is “she creates her own confetti wherever she goes!” I founded and coded my blog The Pink Chickadee in 2020 in the midst of the gloomy and chaotic times of the pandemic. Whilst scrolling over on Instagram (let’s be friends @_thepinkchickadee), I found myself in awe with the gorgeous, creative, and colorful yet pricey luxury pajamas from the brand Printfresh. While the pajamas come at a hefty price tag though the brand does have a few sales throughout the year (which I will spill ALLL the tea on in this guide!!), Printfresh pajamas do have a lot of perks that make the cost worth it. In this blog post, I will be providing my own personal review of Printfresh pajamas.

Printfresh Pajamas Review + How To Find Them On Sale

Before I get into the meat of my Printfresh pajamas review, I wanted to mention that it is a BLAST to just simply browse the website and admire all of the beautiful products that Printfresh has to offer. You can do so here!

About Printfresh:

Known for their luxury pajamas and to “live on the bright side,” Printfresh prides on being all about “the creative, the cozy, and the bold.” Printfresh’s roots started in 2006 as a to-the-trade textile design studio founded by couple Amy and Leo Voloshin. Since growing into one of the world’s leading print houses, Printfresh expanded into stationary goods in 2016 and eventually into its luxury pajamas debut in 2019. Today, Printfresh is a lifestyle brand, selling apparel, home goods, and *of course* their pajamas – all of which are pumping out dopamine boasts to all. In recent years, Printfresh has also been seen in the media by stars of Bravo’s The Real Housewives franchise and Kathy Hilton. Currently, Printfresh is headquarted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where Amy is Founder and Creative Director and Leo is Founder and CEO.

The luxury lifestyle brand’s designs are all hand-painted and made with eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics. Printfresh regularly punches out several creative collaborations with their apparel and sleepwear, including with Lenox to highlight their Spice Village collection and Downtown Abbey. In addition to ultra-fun collaborations, Printfresh pajamas’ designs include incorporating champagne bottles, footballs, flamingos, cats, dogs, hydrangeas, and all major holidays.

Pricing:

Printfresh pajamas retail at a hefty price tag, given that they are luxury pajamas. The starting price is around $75+ for a pair of pajama pants to upwards of $230 for a vibrant pajama set. It is also worth noting that Printfresh has a handful of sales throughout the years with pajama sets retailing usually under $150. Typically, I shop the sales for the majority of my Printfresh pajamas.

Size & Fit:

One of the best aspects of Printfresh pajamas is that the brand is proudly size-inclusive with sizes ranging from XXS-4X. For more information on sizing, refer to Printfresh’s Fit Guide.

My Experience:

As previously mentioned given their hefty prices, I usually make my own Printfresh pajamas purchases from their sales throughout the year. To find out more about Printfresh’s sales and promotions which typically happen in late Summer, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and after Christmas, I sign up for their text alerts. As someone who loves preppy and grand millennial styles but gets intimated by expensive prices for the styles that I love, I find brands that I love including Printfresh’s sales to be the way to go. If you’re similar to me, I recommend shopping Printfresh’s sales and signing up for their emails and text alerts to get updates.

When it comes to my experience with Printfresh pajamas, I have found them to be not only such a fun dopamine boast to my night time routine, but also a luxurious addition. Given Printfresh’s light fabrics as someone who regularly overheats at nighttime, I have found their pajamas to be perfect for someone like myself. Not only are Printfresh’s pajamas comfortable and made at the highest quality, they also allow for a high-quality night of sleep. Not to mention that fact that Printfresh has a size-inclusive and sustainable focus leaves me feeling good when I go to sleep knowing that everyone gets a chance to enjoy their own pair of Printfresh pajamas while making a positive impact on our planet.

Will I be making another Printfresh pajamas purchases?! YES! Especially during future sales!! Make your *very own* Printfresh pajamas purchase here.

How To Find Printfresh Pajamas On Sale:

Printfresh Pajamas go on sale periodically throughout the year via the following:

  • On Printfresh’s website via their Warehouse Sale events which take place late Summer and during Black Friday/after Christmas. I recommend signing up for Printfresh’s text and email updates to get the latest scoop right to your inbox!
  • On websites such as Belk and Dillard’s that sale Printfresh Pajamas, too, and at a fraction of the price! For these websites like Belk and Dillard’s, it’s worthwhile checking them regularly as prices do fluctuate as well as in-store if you’re near a location. Shop Printfresh Pajamas at Belk here and Dillard’s here.
  • If you’re open to secondhand, then be sure to check out sites such as Poshmark and ThredUp for some adorable pajama sets at a fraction of the cost and sustainably!

My Favorite Printfresh Pajama Sets:

There are SOOOO many adorable Printfresh Pajamas to choose from! I included a round-up of some of my favorite Printfresh Pajama sets that are some of the many signature prints that the brand has to offer. However, there are several seasonal pajama prints to choose from on their website, which you can shop the latest and greatest prints here.

Wrap-Up:

As someone who LOVES all things bright, preppy, and grand millennial, Printfresh Pajamas are truly a sweet dreams come true!

Hill House Nap Dress Review

***Please note that this Hill House Nap Dress Review will be updated and recirculated periodically to reflect the most up-to-date information. This review was most recently updated as of March 2026.***

Hello Nap Dress nation and enthusiasts!!! You may be wondering why I’m writing a post all about the Hill House Nap Dress when there are yet SO many dupes out there that I’ve highlighted (here) on the blog. However, as someone who adores this classic staple, I am going to be addressing the question which may be on many of y’all’s minds: is the Hill House Nap Dress really worth it? This review of the Hill House Home Nap Dress will help YOU decide for yourself!

*Disclaimer: Please note that this post contains affiliate links, which means that if you purchase through one of my links, then I will receive a small commission. This commission is at no extra cost to you. Additionally, this post is not sponsored, and all opinions are my own.*

Hill House Nap Dress Review

My Experience:

As a preppy fashion enthusiast and self-proclaimed grand millennial, when the Hill House Nap Dress rose to popularity and caught my eyes on my Instagram feed circa 2021, I was honestly hesitant to click “add to cart” due to its hefty price tag. In recent times, I have noticed the price tag of these iconic dresses (like everything else, honestly) to have risen, too. With the rising cost of living overall, it is definitely a purchase that can feel intimidating and sometimes unattainable. That all being said, this dress IS an investment piece that you will add to your wardrobe.

As someone who finds the Hill House Nap Dress really worth it, I will note that this iconic dress is a classic staple. With its lightweight fabric and flowy nature, the Nap Dresses are perfect for styling for several occasions, whether it be church, celebrations, dinner/drinks out on the town, or even a work day. This dress can be paired with a cardigan or blazer, tights or leggings, sandals or flats or heels, and *even* a sweater/tee underneath it. It is also worth noting that this is a great investment for mothers or mothers to be, as I’ve seen from my fellow content creators in those stages of their life who rave about it! There is SO much innovation and creativity that can come when styling them, too.

I also want to mention that the Hill House Nap Dress is extremely timeless. Not only is it timeless in its classic style and appearance, but also in its nature. The Nap Dress adapts to your body as it changes alongside your life. I’ve experienced some changes with my own body and personal life throughout my time owning a nap dress and the dress has changed with me! HOW special is that?!?!

Where To Buy

The Hill House Nap Dress comes in a variety of styles. In this style guide, I am mostly styling the Ellie Nap Dress. But, it is worth mentioning that Hill House offers SOOOO many incredible nap dress styles in a variety of silhouettes!

Shop the Hill House Nap Dress here!

Would I Buy a Hill House Nap Dress Again?!

The answer is a resounding YES! I have found this popular dress to be well worth the price tag within my own closet. Alongside my several Nap Dress dupes, I have invested in multiple nap dresses since Spring 2022. Nevertheless, my Nap Dresses (and dupes!) have been and continue to be what my hands gravitate towards the most within my own closet. Truly, the Nap Dresses are such a lovely staple to have within my own closet and will remain so for the foreseeable future.

Wrap-Up:

Now that I’ve gushed to you about the Hill House Nap Dress for some time and why I think it is really worth it, the choice is simply up to you on whether or not you should buy it. Personally, I LOVE the Hill House Nap Dress and I’m grateful I’ve taken the plunge to purchasing some of my own. However, the hefty price tag of the it may not be worth it for others, especially if you’re still finding your style and/or simply can’t afford it right now. If either are the case for you, then I highly recommend checking out my suggestions for Hill House Nap Dress dupes (here) and reevaluating purchasing from the brand at another time. Regardless of the decision you make today, Hill House will ALWAYS be there for you if/when you’re ready to take the plunge!

My Living Room!

Long time, NO home decor! I have been living in the Washington, DC area for almost four years now and have *finally* gotten around to sharing the details on my living room. In the past few years, I have shared with y’all my bedroom, kitchen, bar cart, office space, and most recently my rattan bookshelf and welcome console. Throughout the years, my interior design style has evolved for the better: from a college student to a young professional. Indeed, my living room is a true testament to that evolving style of mine!

Needless to say, I used to rarely use my living room. Mainly, it was a place to sit and lounge a smidge but mainly whenever my Papa came downstairs to hang or somebody visited. Being transparent over here, I used to be a mega workaholic and spent ALL of my time at my desk in my office space (I highly don’t recommend this!). I spent my 1.5 years of my college experience Zooming into classes from a desk in my bedroom and it unfortunately felt natural to me at the time to continue this into my postgraduate life. So, during my initial postgraduate years, my living room was truly left as a bit of a dump until I decided two years ago to start using it as a place to rest and started setting more boundaries when it came to work and relaxation. As a recovering workaholic, I highly suggest setting boundaries when it comes to your working life and personal life and am happy to talk more about this in another blog post. In 2023, I began to transition after work during from my desk to my couch and truly it has been a wonderful way to wrap up the working day and for my mental health. My living room is a true blessing and reflection of my mental growth and truly allowing myself to slow down and recharge and reflect.

My living room is my happy place during many points of my home life. Believe it or not, I can be a bit of a homebody despite my grand love for travel! And, my living room is one of my *very* favorite spots to be in my entire apartment. It reflects my since evolved style as a preppy college student to a preppy grand millennial young professional with many pops of Katie! I adore spending LOTS of time here in my living room and enjoy hanging here whether solo or with others. Truly, it is a great gathering place!

Additionally, I have linked a few of my living room home decor items that I could find:

Thank YOU so much for being here along for the journey! Perhaps, my living room gives you some inspiration for yourself in some way, shape, or form. Here’s to making more memories in this beautiful space that I’m so grateful to call mine.

My Favorite Outfits Circa 2015-2017

I am someone that refuses to live with any regrets. I am a firm believer that everything was meant to happen the way that it is supposed to AND that whatever happens happens and shapes us into who we are today and to become. Moreover, on the other hand, one of my BIGGEST exceptions is the sole fact that I sometimes really wish that I started my blogging platform sooner. On my Instagram (follow me @_thepinkchickadee), I recently shared on my stories that I am SO excited that the circa 2012 fashion trends of peplum and statement necklaces are hitting city streets ALL across the country. My Lilly lover bestie Lorena and I were having *flashbacks* to walking through the aisles of Charming Charlie with ALL of the statement necklaces in color coordinated sections throughout the storefront. Needless to say, my nostalgia for fashion during my high school era (which were when some of my favorite fashion trends were around!!) aka 2015-2017 had me digging through some of my old photos and, hence, this blog post!

I will say, *just* like most people I know, I felt so so so much #cringeworthy feels over many of the photos that I saw via my high school years albums on Facebook. Otherwise, I feel super happy that I have some super adorable photos of some of my favorite outfits (that aren’t uber-blurry either!) from my 2015-2017 years. In high school, I LITERALLY took photos of all of my outfits that I wore, whether it be to school, church (yep – I was a big church-goer during that timeframe), travel, or outings with friends/family. I was VERY fortunate to spend many of my high school weekends shopping with friends and family via their support for my passion for fashion. One of my favorite shopping memories was going to the opening of the Topshop store at a local mall in my area and polling peers on two different white dresses I tried on (one of which I wore to be crowned Homecoming Queen in 2016!!!!) and seeing people’s interactions – I guess my blogger instincts were born in that moment 5 years before. Many of my community members during that era loved my style in high school and I am so so so glad I always remained true to myself style-wise.

A few things that still remain true to what I LOVED style-wise then and still do now:

  • Quilted vests
  • Statement necklaces
  • Jack Rogers sandals
  • Vera Bradley umbrellas
  • Hunter rain boots
  • Lilly Pulitzer
  • Peplum
  • Fur vests
  • LL Bean boots
  • Kate Spade handbags
My late grandmother sewn the patchwork fabric pants and I still have them to this very day!!
I LOVE how I paired this pom pom scarf – nothing more said here!
Honestly, my favorite part of this outfit is the Vera Bradley umbrella and my pink flamingo scarf. Not to mention, the gorgeous Prague riverfront and bridges for the backdrop.
I LOVE the Vineyard Vines-Jack Rogers-Kate Spade moment here (!!!).
This cupcake Kate Spade tote is a favorite of mine!!
My late Grandma sewn this dress, too, and I LOVE how I paired it with this blue necklace and tied a chambray button down! PERFECT for a day at The Breakers – Newport, Rhode Island.
I LOVE the purple and magenta color combination here. Nothing more to say!!
I used to LOVE this dress!! I got it at a Buffalo Exchange in New York City my Sophomore year and LOVE the pairings with the boots and my then-favorite L’Oreal lipstick (which I still have to this day!!).
I STILL have this Kate Spade clutch (it also has my monogram!!) – maybe I should get it out soon 🙂
I like to think of this maroon polka-dotted dress I got on one of my weekend shopping sprees as my “Meredith College” dress and wore it to my high school grad party, too. I LOVE this maroon and pink combination.
I remember doing a poll on my personal Instagram circa 2015 (with THE MOST cringe selfies!!) at the newest Topshop store in my area with this dress and another. I still have them both and glad I do, as this dress has a very special place in my heart (and, yes, I was Homecoming Queen and was crowned on a VERY rainy Friday night!!!).
This dress SCREAMS 2015. Nothing more to say!!
One of my FAVORITE scarves *even to this very day* is that J Crew plaid wool scarf with pom poms. The beanie I still have and got on a trip to Poland when I was 15 as it was FREEZING there.
I LOVE the wool/chiffon combination here – may need to try something similar again!!
Alas, the L’Oreal lippie makes *yet another* appearance. My skirt is a favorite of mine and I got several compliments on it when I wore it again during a big college event. Great memories!
This reversible scarf is SO SO fun! I am a HUGE fan of monogrammed bags to this very day, too!
& the J Crew pom pom scarf makes *another* appearance on a trip to Chicago.
This outfit is a little plain for me still to this very day – LOL! However, I LOVE the crystal necklace and pop of color via my Longchamp Le Pilage (which I still have!) with the navy-black combination.
Somehow, I can still manage to fit in this gorgeous Lilly Pulitzer dress!! One of my favorite trips in high school was to Vero Beach, Florida – somehow I was tan that week which is RARE for me. Aren’t the flip-flops SO fun?! I wish I still had them 🙂

One thing that reigns true to this *very* day is that I am grateful for dressing according to my heart’s very own desires. Throughout ALLL the fashion trends that come and go, one thing that remains the same is one’s own personal style and sparkle within their own wardrobe.

Preppy Memorial Day Weekend Sales Going on NOW

If you know me, then you know that I LOVE a good sale. On my Instagram (follow me @_thepinkchickadee), I occasionally share my hauls with items from several of my favorite preppy brands. This weekend, I do not plan to shop any, as I have shopped a lot in recent times and want to focus a bit more on saving. However, that doesn’t mean that I won’t be enjoy the sales at a window shopping level, instead. So, let’s begin to at minimum admire the adorable preppy Memorial Day Weekend sales going on NOW!!

*Disclaimer: Please note that this post contains affiliate links, which means that if you purchase through one of my links, then I will receive a small commission. This commission is at no extra cost to you. Additionally, this post is not sponsored, and all opinions are my own.*

I am personally loving the current sales going on this Memorial Day. If I were to choose to shop this weekend, I would definitely be getting a few Lilly Pulitzer pieces (specifically from the North Carolina destination print!) this weekend for one or two or even three of those adorable tumblers at a Gift with Purchase. At the same time, I would probably get a piece or two from the Draper James RSVP collection at Kohl’s. I actually went to my local Kohl’s this past week to scope out a few of the pieces in-person. I have personally been hesitant to purchase a piece, since I didn’t know the quality of them. But, to my surprise, the items I saw at my local Kohl’s were amazing quality just like any Draper James item sold at their very own storefronts. My satin green smock dress pictured at the top of this post is Nanette Nanette Lepore and one that I got at Marshall’s. Nanette Nanette Lepore’s smock dresses are one of my favorites sold by the brand and will probably be on sale both online and in stores at local Marshall’s, TJ Maxx’s, and also online, too. And, last but not least, if you’re a Kendra Scott fan, then this is the weekend to stock up on some gorgeous jewelry finds!!

Happy sale shopping IF you choose to shop!
